Decorations for your Bohemian party can be as simple or as ornate as you desire. A combination of green and orange add a graceful motif. This theme boasts a lot of fun and it's that time of year to entertain outside. Most items here I found at zGallerie. I love the Taj Laterns in orange, turquoise, green and fuschia. Accent the area with Columnea Orange Sherbet flowers. These large orange flowers are produced all year on a vigorous trailing plant.
Serve a Green Flash with 1 ounce of vodka, 1/2 ounce of Peach Schnapps, 1/2 ounce of Blue Curacao, 3 ounces of orange juice, 3 ounces of sprite and ice. Your guests can lean back, savor the special evening and enjoy.
It's going to warm outside so serve your guests Green Tea Ice Cream to cool down with.
I just love the color combination. Being from SW Florida, these colors are right up my alley.
Use Hydrangea, vendella roses and cymbidium orchids to accent the tables with.
Serve a cool refreshing cocktail like the Strawberry Basil Margaritas:
2 ounces of tequila (1 oz = a shot)
1/2 cup of strawberry simple syrup*
juice of 2 limes
splash of Cointreau (substitute any other orange-flavored liquor)
2 Teaspoon of fresh basil, chopped roughly
To mix the drinks, place the basil in the bottom of a cocktail shaker (or large cup). Pour in the tequila. Mash the basil leaves into the tequila, so as to release the flavor. Fill the shaker with ice, then add strawberry syrup, lime juice, Cointreau. Cover and shake, then strain out into glasses. Garnish with sliced strawberries and basil.
To make the strawberry simple syrup:
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of water
4-5 strawberries, sliced
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then let simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the strawberries look exhausted. Cool the syrup, then strain the liquid through a sieve, pressing the strawberries firmly to extract all liquid. Store in a bottle or jar in the fridge-will keep for up to 2 months. (Recipe courtesy of Blue Jean Gourmet)
Linnae Asiel and Jonathan Michael of Asiel Design were inspired by more than one theme when they created this event design called Modern Sensuality. They say It represents the merging of two worlds or ideas into one piece. “Masculine, modern, black or dark, and sculptural, with bold vases, clean lines, and pave,” they convey, “And then the feminine: soft, sensual, sophisticated, bright, vintage, and glamourous.” I love this color palette for a wedding!!!
Why not try transporting your wedding party guests to the eastern shores for this Nantucket Nautical style clambake where sea foam and cherry colored beachy decor set the tone for this laid back DIY nautical event.
Keep in mind cable knit, the Kennedy's and the Coca Cola Classics for this all Americana inspired palette. Use glossy red willow branches and red coral for the evening and bring the fun event to a dramatic new height for your guests. Use small bud vases and embellish them with the same ribbon used on the main centerpiece to tie the table together. You can fill them with any flower you want, from inexpensive red carnations to bright red peonies.
Trees, wood and birds are a common theme throughout this love bird wedding theme such as spruce and birch. They represent life and growth. Choose chocolate brown and chartreuse and moss green with this color scheme.
Bright colors like yellow and black will give your table an ultra modern appearance that could work for any special event, whether it's a baby shower, a cocktail party or a wedding reception! Grandeur, beauty and glamour seems to be the inspiration for this deco type table setting! The mirror placemats add a sense of elegance and a small table runner of wrapping paper on top of a striped table runner gives it a Palm Springs Deco. I love this color palatte!
Being from SW Florida, this wedding seashell galmour setting is one of my favorite inspirations. I love the black and cream color combination with the rose centerpieces. It just looks so glamourous and up to date. I have tons of seashells around the house that I have gathered out on Sanibel and Captiva Island....now I know what do to with them....use them on my own table.
I love the mix of ostrich feathers with this wedding decor...sooo elegant. Blooms by Martha Andrews knows how to make each wedding unique. If you're in California, you most definitely should look her up!
This inspires me to be young again. Perfect for a wedding, Sweet 16 party or a Quincenera. I love the chair covers! It reminds me of when I was a ballerina with the pink tutu.

Well this South Beach wedding decor by Ceremony Magazine inspired me with it's bright aqua and Florida orange hues. With the ambiance of Miami South Beach, I'm sure your wedding party guests won't mind the July heat so much while they celebrate your special day.
Ideas for a damask wedding theme could easily be based on the season in which the wedding is taking place. Here are some valuable tips on have special wedding themes based on the four seasons and blending damask wedding patterns and ideas in them.
Spring Damask Wedding Themes
The spring time wedding themes could vary from the patterns of flowers emerging from the snow to myriads of flowers in full bloom. The major spring flowers are tulips, roses, daisies, lilies, and hyacinths. These patterns could easily be blended in the wedding cards, the wedding dresses, the wedding decorations, the favors, etc. The tuxedos and the wedding gowns could have the damask theme woven subtly in the dress. Even the menu could be designed to reflect the spring, by using fresh young vegetables like new baby potatoes, baby carrots, haricots verts, baby asparagus, and sugar snap peas. Damask themes that reflect Easter would also go well with spring weddings.
The damask colors could reflect the snow theme if the wedding is in early spring with stress on baby blue or a light pink. Bright damask colors could be used if the wedding is in late spring. Mid-spring weddings would be ideal with a pink-green combination or a turquoise-lime green combination. The wedding favors could include seed packets, bulbs, etc. If you are going to choose birds as your damask wedding theme, then birdhouses or birds nests would be ideal wedding favors. You could even fill them with robin egg candies. These favors would not cost you much if you look around in dollar stores.
Summer Damask Wedding Themes
The summer months of May to August are very popular as wedding time. The bright sunshine and the warmth immediately lift up the spirits of every participant in the wedding. Summer represents outdoor activities. Hence, the weddings could be arranged in beaches or gardens or exotic yards. The damask themes could be matched to the settings. Flowers like sunflower, dahlias, orchids, zinnias, roses, and calla lilies, as well as vegetables and fruits like clementines, cumquats, and yellow lemons could form the basis for your wedding themes. The colors that could be used in the damask patterns would be lighter ones like lemon-green, light rose, light blue, light pink, etc. The floral arrangements could include fresh vegetables and fruits like corns, watermelons, berries, etc. These could be included in the menu also. If the wedding is conducted on a beach, then the damask themes could include marine species, with the menu biased towards fresh seafood like lobsters and oysters.
The wedding favors could be fresh pears or ripe peaches, if the wedding is conducted in a garden. These fruits could be blended into the wedding theme, including the invitations, the dresses, and the decorations. If the theme is based on flowers, then bunch of flowers or small pots of flowers would be ideal as the wedding favors. Beach weddings could have seashells, beach-theme candles, or sand dollars as wedding favors, which could be extended to other aspects of the wedding also as damask themes.
Fall Damask Wedding Themes
Fall weddings go well in orchards, vineyards, or other old barns that have fall foliage. The damask patterns must be in fall colors that are vibrant and rich like red, orange, bright yellow, and brown. Chocolate brown-light blue combination would also suit fall wedding themes. The damask patterns could be based on corns, wheat, pumpkins, gourds, acorns, cornucopias, etc. Otherwise, they could be based on apples, grapes, etc. with orchard-vineyard patterns. Fall flowers are daisies, roses, etc. and they could also form the basis for damask wedding patterns. Hallowed out real white or blue pumpkins or fake pumpkins could be used as centerpiece containers, if your wedding theme is based on pumpkins.
The wedding dress could also be designed with bright colored damask patterns, using rich fabrics like velvets and brocades to provide a luxurious look. The menu could be roasted turkey, roasted quail, or rib roast. They could also be selected as the damask patterns for the wedding themes. If your theme is pumpkin, then pumpkin bread and pumpkin pie could be included in the menu. Apple theme could have baked apple dessert as an item in the menu. Mixing Halloween themes into the wedding would also be a good idea for fall weddings.
Winter Damask Wedding Themes
White is the color of winter and snowflakes patterns are the best for any winter wedding theme. Flowers like white roses, silver-dollar eucalyptus, white lilies, baby blue eucalyptus, stephanotis, football mums, etc. represent winter and damask patterns based on them would give that real winter feel. Pine branches, silver candelabra, silverware at the dining tables, and white light decorations would go well with the basic winter wedding theme. The wedding favors could include snow globes with bride and groom inside or small silver ornaments.
Only your imagination would be the limit if you wish to present a damask wedding theme based on seasons. Use your head to impress your guest in the most unique manner possible.
Wedding Theme Idea: Black and White What do you mean "That's not a theme?" Just look.. for which you may be looking.
One of the biggest trends to hit the wedding scene is a black and white wedding theme. Black has long been overlooked as an acceptable accent color for weddings, often considered for mourning only, but that isn't the case any longer. Black is classy, modern and traditional and if used wisely can create the WOW Factor
The very best advice or suggestion for using black and white to make your wedding successful is to keep it simple.
Wedding Attire
A traditional white or ivory wedding gown is stunning with black embroidery and/or trim. Show off your black and white wedding attire by keeping it sleek - ruffles and frills do not fit in. However, a simple satin bow is acceptable if used correctly. Many brides have chosen to have their cake decorated to match their dress.
Have your bridesmaids dress in black. A sash, bow, or embroidery is a great place to bring in an additional accent color if you wish. Use the additional accent color in your bridesmaids' bouquets.
The groom and groomsmen should dress in traditional black tuxedos with white shirts. Cummerbunds and bow ties are the ideal place to repeat that additional accent color if you so choose.
Black and White Wedding Flowers
Discuss the type of flowers you would like with your florist. Your florist will have suggestions as to what types of flowers are available for your black and white color scheme. He or she will also be able to coordinate the bouquets with arrangements and table centerpieces while keeping with your budget and vision for your wedding.
Decorations & Favors
Again, simplicity is key. Keep it simple and uncluttered for a dramatic effect. Pew markers could be large black and white bows with a center flower in the accent color of your choice.
At the reception, use white tablecloths, black napkins and black dishes (or reverse it with black tablecloths, white napkins and white dishes). Napkin rings in your accent color will unify the table design with the wedding attire for a polished look.
There are many options for centerpieces. Black ceramic vases filled with white flowers (or white ceramic vases filled with black flowers) if you prefer a traditional option. Black candelabras with white candles would create a completely different look.
The wedding favors should tie into the design of the wedding décor. Although dice are black and white, they would have no place with fleur de lis decor. Luckily, http://www.accenttheparty.com/ has wedding party favors to complement any wedding theme.
Flowers are an integral part of all weddings, so it is a natural step to take to actually base your whole wedding around a floral theme. Daisies in particular are very popular with many people, and in fact there are a lot of party favors designed for weddings that have the daisy in mind as part of their design. What???s more, these favors can provide ideas for the whole wedding as well.
For example you can buy miniature take out boxes adorned with daisies and filled with tiny amorini hearts. These look stunning on the tables and make a wonderful and very elegant choice at any time of the year.
Weddings which use daisies as a recurring theme are more likely to be held in the summer though, and you will soon see that many party favors featuring daisies have a look and feel about them that is well suited to a summer wedding. The favor boxes holding chocolate amorini hearts are a classic example ??" these are topped with orange and pink Gerber daisies, which are very summery and can also suggest colors to use for the overall decorative features in the wedding venue itself. Pink and orange might not be the first colors that spring to mind, but in pastel shades they can look very unique and certainly have that wow factor.
You can of course also buy party favors which feature daisies on the packaging, such as the daisies on the adorable heart shaped favor boxes which contain a small and sweet edible treat inside. Daisy shaped soaps and daisy candle favors would also be well received, and in fact the daisy candles could also be used to help add some light once the evening wears on and the sun goes down.
When we think of daisies we tend to think about the fresh white petals and the yellow centers, which can make a wonderful addition to any wedding. Just imagine swathes of white material swooping down from the ceiling of your wedding venue, with just a touch of yellow here and there as an accent. It is an unusual color scheme but no less stunning for that.
You can also make your centerpieces floral in nature with plenty of daisies in the finished display. Dried flowers are another alternative, or you could opt for a larger number of smaller displays rather than mixing daisies in with other flowers as well.
A daisy themed wedding can be a simple choice, and if you are going to opt for the traditional white wedding dress then it can fit it beautifully. Daisies are nice and light in color, full of the joys of summer and very attractive to the eye. You could even use the theme of daisy chains as well if you wanted to ??" just imagine huge lengths of daisy chains made from material to decorate the room.
In short, if you want a floral wedding but you don???t want it to be too heavy in color, daisies might be just what you are looking for.
The whole country will be celebrating. Why not add to the celebration with your family and friends by sharing your love for one another.

If you're having a spring wedding, a cherry blossom theme might be appropriate. Delicate cheery blossoms enhance an Asian flair and are one of the wonderful delights of spring (and spring represents new beginnings).
To the Chinese the cherry blossom can be the symbol of love within herb and herbal lore. The cherry blossom is also the national flower of Japan (unofficially). Blooming cherry blossoms means not only the arrival of spring, but the beginning of the new. This is why it has been a popular wedding theme. Cherry blossoms can represent a bright future. It is probably the most favorite flower with the Japanese people.
Colors: Your colors for a cherry blossom wedding theme can consist of possible colors like pink, purple, white, brown and plum.
Decorations: Decorations ideas for a cherry blossom theme wedding can be:

Paper lanterns.
Cherry blossom branches, twigs and sprays make an attractive floral arrangement or you can use them to tuck in with the bows and swags.
Cherry blossom parasols.

Fans for outdoor events or you can have your bridesmaids hold the fans in place of bouquets (money saver).

Napkin holders with twigs of cherry blossoms add a nice touch to the table setting.
Cherry Blossom Floaters which you can get from Illuminations.

You can accent the party even further by giving each table at the reception a name for well known cherry tree varieties such as Weeping Cherry, Yoshino Cherry, Chrysanthemum, Sargent Cherry, Goldbark Cherry, Black Cherry, New Year Cherry, Rice Cherry, Equinox Cherry, and don't forget Maraschino. Centerpieces:
You can place twigs in vases and then tie on miniature lanterns like an Easter egg tree. Lanterns come in all kinds of colors so it shouldn't be hard to find some that are going to match your wedding colors.
Where can you buy cherry blossoms for my Cherry Blossom wedding theme? Try your local florist and nurseries first. March is when cherry blossoms bloom but they lose their petals fast, so your bouquet may thin out some as the hours go by. You might want to consider hydrangea. They have little petals, are sturdy and are available in many beautiful colors. If they're unavailable in town, then try artificial. You can find beaded branches at Whiteaisle. Try Michaels or Joannes and see if they carry them in silk.
You can usually rent trees from a party rental house. You should ask around in your location.
Food: You can serve items like cherry dumplings, cherry cupcakes, cherry tarts, cherry cream filled chocolate truffles, cherry mousse, chocolate cherry coconut bon bons, pink champagne, cherry punch, duck with cherries, lamb with red wine and cherry sauce, or cornish hens with cherry stuffing. There are lots of food ideas for cherries. Just run a search for cherry recipes.
